The striped façade of the Cathédrale de la Major in Marseille

Marseille monuments walking tour

Duration:4 to 5 hours Price:from 100 €per adult, children at a reduced rate, groups of 1 to 8

This is the tour we recommend for a first visit. It follows the natural logic of the city: the harbour where Greek sailors landed 2,600 years ago, the hill where they settled, and the waterfront that was rebuilt around the MuCEM in 2013.

We walk at a relaxed pace, stop for a drink where the locals do, and finish at a restaurant that cooks the classics properly: bouillabaisse if you order ahead, otherwise panisses, aioli or a simple grilled fish.
